Gordo leads this date with his TARAKA label during his Tuesday residency, the last one before closing on September 22. He is joined by Shimza, whose afro house and techno have shaped his sound on dancefloors in Johannesburg and across Europe; Alex Wann, a French producer gaining traction in melodic house; Arodes, known for sets that shift between emotional and physical energy; Manda Moor, an up-and-coming figure in Parisian tech-house; and Gala, who rounds out a lineup of six names with real weight on the floor.
The night kicks off in Pacha’s main room with house that builds into tech-house and touches of techno in the early hours. Energy rises in waves, the dancefloor packed by dawn, ending at sunrise at 06:00. This is the fifth and penultimate installment of the TARAKA Tuesday series.
