Velvet Club
FAQ
It is located at Carrer de Porto Pi 4, in the Ponent area of Palma, next to the Paseo Marítimo and very close to the Porto Pi shopping center. It is the same venue that operated for years as Backstage, west of the city center and near the port.
It opens at night from Wednesday to Saturday and extends sessions until around 06:00. Unlike coastal nightclubs, it operates year-round and not just during the summer season, although it is advisable to check the specific weekly schedule.
Access is for those over 18 years old, as in any nightclub in Spain; it is advisable to bring an ID or passport. Some specific parties or events may have their own capacity or reservation conditions, so it is recommended to review each event.
There is no formal dress code: the atmosphere is urban and casual. It is recommended to avoid sportswear or beachwear, but formal attire is not required. Each themed night may have a recommended style, though it is not a strict access requirement.
Velvet Club hosts parties and themed nights with tickets that vary by event. You can check and purchase available tickets at partyisla.com, where the venue's events are published with their prices and conditions when they go on sale.
It is located right on the Paseo Marítimo: a taxi from Palma city center costs just a few euros, and it is also very close from Cala Major or Coll d'en Rabassa. EMT bus lines that run along the Paseo Marítimo stop in the area, and there is parking at the adjacent Porto Pi shopping center.
The style is mainly commercial and Latin: reggaeton, current hits, house, and Latin rhythms designed for dancing until closing time. It is not a techno club or one with major international residencies, but rather a venue for popular music aimed at a local and weekend audience.
Yes. Velvet Club is the current name of the venue that operated for years as Backstage, at the same address (Porto Pi 4) and under the same management group, Grupo Palma Ocio. It changed its name and programming, but the physical space remains the same.
