Reggaeton, commercial hits, and house until six in the morning right by Palma’s seafront — Velvet Club is one of the few nightclubs in the city that stays open all year round. Previously known as Backstage Palma, the venue was rebranded in 2024 under Grupo Palma Ocio, the company run by Jose Perez and Pau Bestard that manages five nightlife spots in the city. Their in-house line-up — DESVARÍO, DELITO, OPULENT and CANTEO — sets a weekly schedule with a clear identity.

The club blends two formats: live music and comedy sessions at the start of the night, then morphs into a proper club with DJs from midnight. Inside, two main areas: an open dance floor for everyone and a reserved table zone with bottle service. An outdoor terrace with sea views gives you a spot to chill between sets. The decor goes for dark, sleek vibes — neon lights, colored beams, and a modern, minimalist club finish.

The 2026 season runs Wednesdays to Saturdays all year. DESVARÍO — EL TARDEO CON MÁS ARTE is the afternoon session from 18:00. DELITO and OPULENT take over as the main parties on Fridays and Saturdays with guest DJs. CANTEO is the exclusive sing-along concept, 23+ only. DISCOTERRANEO brings house and techno. La Fiesta Aeropuerto has become a recurring themed special event.

Carrer de Porto Pi, 4, Palma — right by the seafront, close to Porto Pi Shopping Centre. Hours: 23:00 to 06:00, Wednesdays to Saturdays. Open all year. Dress code: smart casual — no flip-flops or sportswear. Minimum age: 18 (23 for CANTEO events). Entry from 10 EUR with a drink included, depending on the night. Bottle service and VIP tables available with advance booking.

Velvet is Palma’s go-to spot for a night out any month of the year — while most clubs shut down in winter, Velvet keeps the party going. From Plaça d’Espanya, it’s a 5-minute taxi ride or a 15-minute walk along the seafront. If you’re after more serious electronic sounds, Overclub and R33 in the industrial estates offer a higher-level booking. Templo Palma, also from Grupo Palma Ocio, is the group’s more intimate, upscale alternative, open Thursdays to Saturdays.
