S'embat

S'embat is a sunset session at AMOK in Palma. S'embat is the dance project of Gerard Aledo, a Mallorcan producer who has spent a decade moving between melodic house and African rhythms. His residency at AMOK follows the logic of the macro-complex: programming local names with their own pull in time slots that don’t compete with big international acts late at night. Aledo has released on his own label and has remix credits for artists in the Iberian scene. The 18:30 to 23:45 format aims for a dancefloor that warms up with the sunset and peaks when the terrace loses natural light. Afro-house with live percussion, soul vocals and moments of commercial house for the crowd coming straight from the beach. The terrace at AMOK, with partial views of the artificial lake, serves as the main area during this time; the indoor room is reserved for the final stretch, when temperatures drop. This date falls right in the middle of August in Mallorca, with the complex operating at full capacity. S'embat closes the third week of its summer residency at the venue. Doors 18:30, last entry 23:45. No strict dress code. Age +18.
