Parapaïla is a sunset session of afro-house at AMOK in Palma.
Parapaïla began as a Thursday residency at AMOK and this Saturday edition closes the cycle. The project blends DJ set with live stage performance: Carol leads the staging while the Parapaila DJs build the set. The format is late-night, not after: it starts in daylight and ends when night has already fallen.
The sound is afro-house with marked percussion, soul vocals and progressions that work on the open terrace. AMOK, inaugurated in August 2024, is a 30,000-square-metre macro-complex with an artificial lagoon south of Palma. For this date, the outdoor terrace is the star: the set gains when the sun sets over the dancefloor.
