Intro presents: Themba & Les Castizos

Themba has built his name at the intersection of techno and African rhythms, with sets shifting between percussion tracks and expansive melodic moments. Les Castizos bring a more urban take on the genre, with energy that works best on large floors where the crowd is already warmed up. Together they cover two poles of today’s afro house: one more club-oriented, the other more street-oriented. AMOK’s venue is made for long nights. The dancefloor fills in waves, not all at once, and the complex’s artificial lake serves as a rest area between sets. The afro house here sounds with deep bass and space for percussion to breathe; it’s not dense techno, nor commercial house.
