FAQ

At Carrer de Montenegro, 10, 07012 Palma, inside the Puro Grand Hotel, in the La Lonja neighborhood of the old town. It's a three-minute walk from Paseo del Born and a five-minute walk from the medieval Llotja. The current culinary brand is Beatnik, an evolution of the original Opio Bar; the physical space remains the same, within the boutique hotel.

Restaurant service from midday starting at 13:00 with lunch until 16:00 and dinner from 19:30 to 23:30. The bar stays open until 1:00 or 2:00 AM on weekends, with a resident DJ. Mondays are sometimes a rest day; reservations and updated hours at purograndhotel.com or beatnikpalma.es.

18 years old for the nightclub area. The restaurant section allows minors accompanied during lunch or dinner hours. The age filter increases at closing time, when the space becomes a bar-only area and the music becomes more prominent; at that point, families with minors are not admitted, and ID is requested at the bar entrance.

Smart casual boutique hotel style: shirt, blouse, dress, long pants, and closed shoes or elegant sandals. Tracksuits, caps, and pool flip-flops are not allowed. The dress code becomes stricter at night. Capacity is around 80-150 people depending on the day — the full room is noticeable, so the dress code is respected and entry is not granted based on mere preference.

Opio/Beatnik does not operate with box office tickets: access to the bar is free, and drinks are paid for at the bar or table. For dinner, reservations can be made via TheFork, OpenTable, or by calling the hotel (+34 971 425 450). If there is a private event or a closing party with a guest DJ and paid tickets, we announce it on partyisla.com when published.

Walking is the most natural option: five minutes from the Cathedral, three from El Born, eight from Plaza Mayor. By taxi: €5-7 from Santa Catalina or Sa Llotja, €8-10 from Paseo Marítimo, €12-15 from Portixol or Es Molinar, €20-25 from the airport. The nearest public parking is Parc de la Mar or Plaza Mayor. The EMT bus has several stops two minutes from Montenegro.

Resident DJs play deep house, nu-disco, lounge, and Mediterranean selections as bar and dining ambiance; Wednesdays and Saturdays feature local guests with a slightly more danceable repertoire toward closing time. There are no international headliners and it is not a superclub lineup: the concept is that of a hotel bar with a resident DJ, not a dance floor. The DJ booth is integrated into the room.

The physical space is the same, and much of the kitchen and bar team has been retained. The «Opio Bar & Restaurant» brand was the original identity for over a decade within Puro Hotel; with the hotel’s upgrade to Puro Grand Hotel, the gastronomic concept is repositioned as Beatnik. Many guides and reservations still refer to Opio; the address, floor, and kitchen remain unchanged.
