Since 1968 on Schinkenstraße in Arenal — Oberbayern is Mallorca’s oldest Schlager club and one of the few in the Mediterranean dedicated exclusively to Central European party music. Three rooms under one roof, up to six live performances each night, and a loyal crowd that returns season after season. DJ Ötzi, Mickie Krause, and Matthias Reim are among the artists who have graced its stages.

Toni Strobl — himself a Schlager musician — founded the venue alongside Miguel Pascual and turned it into a benchmark of Ballermann culture. The 2,000-square-meter space is divided into three distinct areas: the main Oberbayern room with a central dance floor and classic Schlager, Bolero with Andalusian decor and Discofox for a more mature crowd, and Regine’s with charts and electronic music for younger guests. Dark wood, wrought-iron balconies, and amber lighting define the Bavarian-inspired interior.

The 2026 season kicks off on April 2 — Maundy Thursday — weeks before Bierkönig and Megapark, reinforcing its tradition as the first venue to open each year. Live performances begin around midnight with rotating party-Schlager singers. Weekends are the busiest, with all three rooms operating in parallel until 6:00. Mika One, a standout from recent seasons, has signed with Megapark — leaving room for fresh faces on the 2026 lineup.

Carrer de l’Arenal, 48, Platja de Palma — on Schinkenstraße in S’Arenal. Hours: 8:30 PM to 6:00 AM from June to September; weekends the rest of the season. Free entry or minimum spend of 5 EUR. Age 18+. Dress code casual but must wear a T-shirt and closed shoes — swimwear, flip-flops, and football shirts prohibited. Beer 0.33L from 5.50 EUR. Consumption card system — do not lose it (35 EUR penalty).

If you take a taxi from Palma, it’s about 20 minutes via the Levante highway; bus line 23 stops 400 meters away. Bierkönig, its direct neighbor on Schinkenstraße, goes for the open-brewery format with greater capacity — Oberbayern counters with three distinct rooms and a more intimate vibe where classic Schlager reigns. For those wanting to experience both styles, the distance between them is literally crossing the street.

From 20:30 to 06:00 during peak season (June–September). Off-season, it opens only on weekends. 2026 season runs from April 2 to late October.
