Kumharas Ibiza

San Antonio, Ibiza

FAQ

At Carrer de Lugo, 2, 07829 Cala de Bou (Sant Josep de sa Talaia), on the coast of Sant Antoni Bay and facing the Sunset Strip of Café del Mar. It's a 15-minute walk from Sant Antoni Port along the promenade, or by bus from San Antonio city center via line L3. Do not confuse it with the Sunset Strip area: Kumharas is on the opposite shore, in Cala de Bou.

During the season (late March to October), it opens daily in the afternoon for sunset and keeps the bar open late with cocktails and shisha. The 2026 season kicked off on Saturday, March 21, with a free session from 5:00 PM and a broadcast by Ibiza Sonica until midnight. Off-season, it closes; check weekly at kumharas.org or @kumharasibiza.

There is no formal minimum age: Kumharas is a family-friendly beach bar open to all ages. You’ll see families, locals with children, and young groups mixing with tourists. For later concerts, the crowd becomes more adult, but there is no ID check or age filter at the entrance, whether on the dance floor or at tables.

Relaxed beachwear — Kumharas is one of the few places in Ibiza where swimwear is perfectly acceptable, especially in the chill zone. For sitting at the street food or cocktail tables, a T-shirt or sarong is recommended. There’s no smart casual dress code, no mandatory closed shoes: the rule is that of the promenade, not the club. There is no shoe check either.

Kumharas never charges an entry fee: access is free and there are no table reservations. The bar and street food are paid for on the spot, with cocktail menus around €10 and street food dishes between €6 and €14. If a special event with a separate ticket is scheduled — such as a special concert or one-day festival — we announce it on partyisla.com well in advance.

By bus: Sant Antoni-Cala de Bou line L3 (Lugo Street stop, one minute away), summer night Discobus from Ibiza Town and Playa d'en Bossa. By taxi: €5-7 from Sant Antoni Port, €12-15 from Cala Conta, €25-30 from Ibiza Town, and €30-35 from the airport. Most hotels in the bay are within walking distance; the rest of Ibiza is less than 25 minutes away by car.

Chill, ambient, world music, ethnic, deep house, Balearic electronic, and live flamenco fusion, world bands, and percussionists. There is no reggaeton, no EDM, no big-room. Guest DJs are local, and the vibe is sunset contemplation, not dance floor. The volume increases slightly after sunset, but the focus remains on the bar and conversation, not dancing.

A coastal defense tower from Ibiza’s history, preserved and restored as the central feature of the venue. It is part of the historic landscape of Sant Antoni Bay and shapes the layout of the venue — tables, bar, and chill zone are arranged around it — making it the visual icon of Kumharas. You’ll find it in most photos of the place on social media and on the website.
