Cova Santa Ibiza is a natural cave complex in Sant Josep de sa Talaia with capacity for 2,000 people, programming house, techno and organic electronic sessions since 1957. The karst cave descends more than 25 meters beneath the Mediterranean mountain, with illuminated stalactites and a KV2 Audio system spread across the outdoor garden, the underground cave, the restaurant and the VIP area. It is one of the island’s most unique venues — not a superclub, but an open-air amphitheater that sinks into ancient stone as night falls.

The cave has been documented since the 15th century — legend speaks of pirates and smugglers who used it as a hideout, though there is no archaeological evidence. It opened to the public in 1957 and has belonged to the Amnesia group since 2013, which repositioned it as a gastronomic and events destination. Ibiza Spotlight described it in its 2017 retrospective as “a cave with a colorful history,” and Mixmag called the Woomoon party “a psychedelic adventure outside Ibiza’s usual circuit” — two references that place Cova Santa among the island’s signature venues.

The 2026 season runs from May 2 to October 4. Woomoon takes over Fridays starting May 15 with the Renaissance: Art Is Back concept and celebrates its tenth anniversary on August 12, coinciding with the solar eclipse. RUMORS by Guy Gerber programs Wednesdays, PIV on Tuesdays, AMÉMÉ presents One Tribe on summer Thursdays, UTOPIC and Masaka Africana on alternating Saturdays, and Pantheøn every Sunday. Tip: arrive before sunset to secure a spot in the garden amphitheater — the transition from outdoors to the cave around 23:00 is the most photogenic moment of the night. Park inside the venue; there is no night bus to Sant Josep. If you dine at the Gastroclub, event entry is usually included. Fifteen minutes by taxi from Hï Ibiza and Ushuaïa in Platja d’en Bossa to link afterparties.

The natural cave, over 25 meters deep, functions as an intimate club from 23:00. The Gastroclub & Mixology restaurant operates in parallel with an international menu and a wine cellar installed inside the cave itself.
