CBbC Cala Bassa Beach Club Ibiza

San Antonio, Ibiza

FAQ

At Cala Bassa beach, 07829 Sant Josep de sa Talaia — on the west coast of Ibiza, about 4 km west of Sant Antoni de Portmany by road. The beach itself was voted Best Beach in Spain 2025 by Condé Nast Traveler readers, giving an idea of the setting: turquoise cove surrounded by pine trees, not an urban area.

Season from March to October. In 2026 the Chiringo opens on March 27 and the Central restaurant on April 24. During peak season, the Chiringo operates from 11:00 to 18:00 (kitchen until 17:00); Central and Portobello extend until 22:00. Seasonal closure between November and February — the website confirms exact dates year by year.

No formal minimum age — it’s a daytime family beach club, not a nightclub. Children are welcome during daytime hours and there is adapted service at the Chiringo. For DJ-set sessions at Central and Portobello the atmosphere is more adult-oriented but no ID is requested at the entrance.

Elegant beachwear in all areas. Swimsuits and sarongs are accepted on sun loungers and sand, but in Central and Portobello — especially at dinner — a T-shirt or dress is expected. Portobello, being high-end Italian cuisine, sets a slightly higher standard. No formal smart casual code; common sense prevails.

Beach access is free. To book a table at any of the three restaurants (Chiringo, Central, Portobello) and Balinese sun loungers, reservations are made at calabassabeachclub.com — highly recommended in July and August. partyisla.com does not handle table reservations, only party entry tickets if applicable. Weddings and private events through the group’s events team.

By water taxi from Port de Sant Antoni (cabin 7), about 15 minutes and 8 EUR round trip — the most comfortable option in July and August. By bus on line L7 from Sant Antoni, about 30 minutes and 2.90 EUR. By car from Sant Antoni, 15–20 minutes with beachfront parking for around 5 EUR. By taxi from Sant Antoni, 18–25 EUR; from Ibiza Town, 40–55 EUR.

Lounge, chill-out and deep house in daytime format with resident DJs daily. Live music is programmed on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. There are no superstar residencies or party programs like Hï or Pacha — the offering is restaurant+beach with DJ sets, not a nightclub. The music complements, it doesn’t impose.

Three concepts within the same venue: Chiringo is informal Mediterranean cuisine on the sand (breakfasts, light lunches, snacks); Central offers international fusion cuisine with a sushi bar open all day; Portobello, added in 2023, is high-end Italian cuisine with a signature menu and night service until 22:00. Book Portobello well in advance — it fills up in August.
