Open daily from Easter until late October, roughly from 16:00 to 01:30. The sunset event is the highlight: in peak summer the sun sets around 21:20, in September around 20:00, and by mid-October around 19:00. Closed outside the season (November–March).

There is no formal age restriction published, but it is a bar that serves alcohol and Spanish law applies: 18+ to consume alcoholic beverages, with ID or passport if requested by the staff. Minors accompanied by adults without consuming alcohol may stay on the terrace.

Beach casual, no formal dress code. However, they do not allow: wet swimsuits, bare feet, or bare chests inside the venue. Typical attire includes sarongs or light dresses, open shirts, espadrilles — Ibiza casual elegant. The management reserves the right to refuse entry.

Café del Mar does not charge an entry fee to the bar. If you want to reserve a table with a minimum spend, manage it via partyisla.com: the front row by the water has an approximate minimum of 90 EUR per person, the second row around 60 EUR. Without a reservation, you can enter the bar area or dance floor, subject to capacity.

Walking is the best option: eight-twelve minutes from the West End along the seafront promenade around the bay. From Cala de Bou it's five-ten minutes by taxi (around 12 EUR) or a twenty-minute coastal walk. From Ibiza Town: bus line 3 to San Antonio station (~40 min, 4 EUR) and a ten-minute walk; by taxi it's twenty-five minutes (around 30 EUR during the day). Approximate night fare is 35 EUR.

Chillout, deep house, Balearic beat, and downtempo in the pre-sunset slot; after sunset the set shifts to a more rhythmic house style, without venturing into club territory. The Café del Mar Music label — which José Padilla launched with the first compilation in 1994 — continues to release annual volumes, and much of the repertoire draws from that catalog.

No, they are independent businesses even though they are literally next door. Café del Mar (1980) is the original chillout venue, with a quieter terrace, Balearic identity, and a musical heritage. Café Mambo (1994) is more up-tempo, featuring commercial DJ residencies (Pete Tong and similar) and often serves as a warm-up for Hï or Ushuaïa. Many people visit both in the same night.
