About
Perched on the cliff above Sol d'en Serra cove, Amante Ibiza was born in 2009 when David Piccioni —former DJ and producer— decided to turn his favorite corner of the island into a place open to the public. The result is one of Ibiza's most photogenic beach clubs: 160 seated places and 300 standing, music ranging from lounge to deep house, and unobstructed views of the Mediterranean from every point of the space. The philosophy of the place is the same as when it opened: gastronomic quality, a relaxing atmosphere, and a musical selection that accompanies without imposing.
The venue unfolds on several levels adapted to the cliff. The restaurant occupies the highest position; the lower terrace has a wooden floor with tables and direct views of the water; the beach area descends to ground level with sunbeds in the chillout area. The Decking bar area is available for informal drinks; for something more intimate, the Amante Table is a private Balinese hut for two people that requires advance booking.
It can be reached in about 15 minutes by taxi from the center of Ibiza, or by private car with parking nearby. Access from the parking to sea level involves a descent: comfortable footwear is recommended given the uneven terrain. The dress code is smart-casual; avoid platform sandals for the same reason. Opening hours are from midday to midnight in high season, from May to October. Google rating: 4.4 out of 5 from 1,708 reviews.
The seasonal calendar combines various formats throughout the week. Sunrise yoga sessions include a healthy breakfast afterwards; open-air cinema nights screen selected filmographies under the stars; a full moon dinner with a special menu is held every month. The Annual Opening Party officially kicks off each season and usually sells out passes in hours. If you want a table in August, book at least two weeks in advance: the waiting list can be long even on weekdays.
