Lewis Bones hosts the residency for this series, with three British radio names on the lineup: Charlie Sloth and Kenny Allstar, both with backgrounds at BBC 1Xtra, and DJ AG. The format is club sounds with rap as the focus, not a live showcase but DJ sets drawing from grime, UK rap and derivatives of London’s urban scene.
The dancefloor usually fills past 01:00, with long hours until 06:00 and energy rising in stages at one of the few remaining superclubs on the island. The Fire in the Club season finale coincides with the end of the summer residency; the club stays active with Markus Schulz in trance on Thursdays in August and September.
