Techno Flamenco is an afternoon-evening of techno and flamenco at Amok Mallorca in Palma.
Marsal Ventura leads a lineup of eleven names that crosses flamenco roots with club structures. Alongside him, Jesule Fernandez, Maria La Zingara, Nerea Benito, and Toni Quintana complete the upper half of a lineup that goes down as a block to El Gato Chp, Joel Borras, Fonso Castillo, Ian Tules, Jbill, and Los Prados. It is a dense bet for six hours on the dance floor.
The format is atypical for Amok: it starts at 17:00, when the mega-complex is usually closed, and closes at 23:00, just when its usual sessions take off. The mix of techno and flamenco in a 3,000-person venue with an artificial lagoon poses a large scale for a formula that usually works in smaller rooms.
