Shimza is the name that has brought the sound of southern Africa to European dance floors. His residency in Ibiza and sets at Cova Santa have shaped how afro-house sounds in the Mediterranean: dense percussion, slow-moving basslines, and moments of tension that resolve in collective bursts. At Amok, with its artificial lagoon and large-scale architecture, the set gains physical scale. The dance floor moves in stages. It starts with warm house, gains body with processed African rhythms, and seeks its climax in the early hours. Shimza doesn’t play individual tracks: he builds arcs of thirty, forty minutes where everything fits together. It’s his method in every long session. Door opens 11:45 PM, closing 5:30 AM.
