Denis Sulta returns to Amok after an initial visit the promoter already counts as a milestone. The Scot heads this edition with Javi Bora and Kiko Navarro supporting. Bora has been on the Ibiza and mainland circuit for years; Navarro brings roots in soulful and afro house that fit the venue’s style.
The packed dancefloor moves between house with vocal injections and techno stretches that carry on into the early hours. Amok runs in a macro format: three thousand people, indoor room plus terrace, long hours that go almost until dawn. Sulta’s set usually balances controlled euphoria with sung moments on the floor; here he’ll have room to stretch it out.
The night falls during the club’s peak weekend season, with the complex running at full capacity in its second year. Amok’s lineup alternates between electronic and urban sounds; this date bets on the house-techno side of its lineup.
