About
Next to the Porto Portals marina, with yachts moored a few meters from the dance floor and the sound of water as a constant backdrop, The Boathouse operates as a meeting point for local residents and international visitors who frequent the southwest of Mallorca. The programming ranges from house, deep house, techno, and lounge; Marco Carola, Jamie Jones, and The Martinez Brothers have played here in different summer seasons, which gives an idea of the level the venue's booking aims for.
The venue is single-story with an outdoor terrace that opens directly onto the water. There are wooden tables, hammock areas under parasols, and a dance floor of about 200 square meters covered by a cane pergola that filters sunlight during afternoon sessions. The main bar occupies the center of the space and acts as a circulation axis between the different areas. The sound system is oriented outwards to minimize acoustic interference with moored boats. Elevated sofas look directly onto the yachts in the port.
Elegant beachwear during the day; smart-casual from 20:00. Minimum age 21 years. Opening hours from 11:00 to 03:00 in high season, reducing to Fridays and Saturdays in October. Address: Carrer de les Flors, 2, Portals Nous, a 15-minute drive from the center of Palma. By taxi from Plaza España it's about 18-22 euros. Bus line 104 connects Palma with Portals Nous every 30 minutes in summer; from the stop, it's an 8-minute walk to the port entrance. Google rating: 4.3 out of 5 in 322 reviews.
On Sundays, they host "Sunset Sessions," combining local DJs with international names from the underground circuit in a format that starts at midday and extends until sunset. In July and August, the club operates at full capacity with events starting at 12:00 and not ending until 3:00 in the morning. The direct link with the port's nautical activity defines something unique in Mallorca: it is common to see yacht owners docking in the marina for dinner before continuing the night inside the venue, which creates a mix of clientele difficult to replicate in other beach clubs on the island.
