Mayan Warrior arrives at Pacha after a decade at Burning Man. The Mexican collective has set up its sound system and stage design in the Nevada desert since 2012; this Sunday it brings that format to the island’s oldest dancefloor. Damian Lazarus heads the booth: founder of Crosstown Rebels, he has spent fifteen years programming sets that blend cerebral house with tribal techno. Mita Gami completes the lineup with an opening set that often navigates between acid melodies and organic percussion. The Mayan Warrior concept is all-encompassing: not just DJs, but a stage structure that fills the dancefloor and a visual narrative synced to the music. In Pacha, this means turning both rooms into a journey where sound and lighting advance together. Long hours, energy that rises in waves, climax at dawn with the main room still going.
